Baseball Recap: Hilliard Davidson Find Success

Hilliard Davidson came out on top against Pickerington North on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Wildcats took their contest against the Panthers 6-3. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 11-0 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2016.

Julio Goyo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Johnny DiBlasio, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Hilliard Davidson lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Hilliard Davidson's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Pickerington North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hilliard Davidson will host Hayes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Pacers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Pickerington North, they will welcome Westland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
