Football Recap: Rocklin Takes a Loss

Rocklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 34-14 to the Oak Ridge Trojans. The Thunder were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Rocklin lost, don't look at Greyson Smith. Despite the final result, he picked up 73 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Don't try to pin the team's loss on the defense: they kept the trenches locked down and allowed a mere 3.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Damien Panteloglow for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Rocklin; they were averaging 5yards per carry per game earlier this season, but in their last three games they've fallen to only 3.7 per game.

Rocklin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Oak Ridge, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

As of now, neither Rocklin nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
