Softball Recap: Sundown Roughnecks vs. Stamford Bulldogs

The Roughnecks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 4-3.
Breigh Gregory put in work no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Gregory was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.
Gregory wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nayleen Morin, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Sundown's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 27-6. As for Stamford, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season.
