Volleyball Recap: Maple Grove's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Maple Grove had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Alexandria Cardinals.

Maple Grove didn't let Alexandria take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 26-24.

Kacie Schulte paced Maple Grove's offense, picking up 11 kills. Schulte got some help from Amanda Swiers and her 19 assists. Swiers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Maple Grove's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Alexandria, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Maple Grove has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Chanhassen on the 6th. As for Alexandria, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Andover on the 6th.
