Volleyball Recap: Colonial Christian Gets the Win

After losing to Westwood Christian the last time they met, Colonial Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Colonial Christian Patriots came out on top against the Westwood Christian Warriors by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Colonial Christian got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 28-30, 25-22, 25-21.

Alexander Ovalle paced Colonial Christian's offense, picking up 20 kills. Ovalle got some help from Janthony Victoria and his 37 assists. Ovalle was also solid from the service line: he led the team with eight aces.

Colonial Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Westwood Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colonial Christian will take on Archbishop Carroll at 5:00 p.m. on March 11th. As for Westwood Christian, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Horeb Christian at 4:00 p.m. on March 11th.
