            Basketball Recap: Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers vs. Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders        
        
		
        
        
            Mt. St. Michael Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They fell  71-60 to the Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Mountaineers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings  (they are ranked 327th, while the Crusaders are ranked first).
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Archbishop Stepinac to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Adonis Ratliff, who  dropped  a double-double on 16 points and 12  rebounds. The dominant performance also gave  Ratliff a new career-high in  assists (five).  Jasiah Jervis was another key player,  going 8 for 13  en route to 18  points and five  boards.
Mt. St. Michael Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Archbishop Stepinac, the  victory was  the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.
