Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Monday. Conway Christian had just enough and edged out Mayflower 3-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 21, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Despite the loss, Mayflower had strong showings from Miranda Leslie, who had 17 digs and three aces, and Sophie French, who had 11 digs and three aces. Leslie is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Kayla Alexander also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Conway Christian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5. As for Mayflower, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

Conway Christian has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Paris on the 23rd. As for Mayflower, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Booneville on the 23rd.
