Basketball Recap: Dryden Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mayville on Thursday, Dryden came back down to earth. The Dryden Cardinals came up short against the Sandusky Wolves on Friday, falling 53-29. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 379th, while the Wolves are ranked 120th).

Dryden has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. The win was the fifth in a row for Sandusky, bringing their record for this year to 19-1.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sandusky, they will welcome Laker at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Sandusky has won three straight at home, while Laker won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
