Volleyball Recap: Cambria Heights Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Portage on Monday, Cambria Heights came back down to earth. The Highlanders lost 3-0 to the Northern Cambria Colts on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Highlanders in their meetings with the Colts: they've now lost seven in a row.

While Cambria Heights ultimately came up short, they really made Northern Cambria work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 26-24, 25-18.

Regan Conrad paced Cambria Heights' offense, picking up ten kills. Conrad got some help from Claire Nihart and her 11 assists. Finally, Julia Karlheim and Aubrey Ranck kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

Cambria Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Northern Cambria, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9-1 record this season.

Cambria Heights has already played their next contest (against Conemaugh Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Northern Cambria, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Portage on the 9th.
