Baseball Recap: Omaha Central Eagles vs. Papillion-LaVista Monarchs
After flying high against Omaha North on Wednesday, Omaha Central came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Papillion-LaVista Monarchs by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled against the Monarchs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Omaha Central handed starting duties to Boe Di Lorenzo, who gave a strong showing despite the result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.
