Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Whites Creek's Fourth in Last Five Outings

After losing to Stratford the last time they met, Whites Creek decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cobras came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 14-11 on Wednesday.

Whites Creek let Ty'Rique Keesee and Jason Howse run wild. Keesee went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base, while Howse went a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three runs gave Keesee a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Irvin, who earned two runs and five stolen bases.

Whites Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. They are 6-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Whites Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Stratford, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-5.
