Baseball Game Preview: Stone Bridge Bulldogs vs. Lightridge Bolts

For the first time this season, Stone Bridge will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will challenge the Lightridge Bolts at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

James Island hit Stone Bridge with a eight-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs lost 14-4 to the Trojans. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lightridge suffered their biggest loss since April 25, 2024 last Thursday. They came up short against John Champe, falling 11-1.

Lightridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Stone Bridge, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Stone Bridge couldn't quite finish off Lightridge in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
