Recap: Merrill Vandals vs. Vestaburg Wolverines
The Merrill Vandals entered their tilt with the Vestaburg Wolverines with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Merrill blew past Vestaburg 42-19. This was payback for Merrill, who suffered a 44-30 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Even though they lost, Vestaburg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Merrill is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Vestaburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Merrill will take on Breckenridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Breckenridge's defense has only allowed 27.9 points per game this season, so Merrill's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Vestaburg, they will be playing at home against Fulton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Vestaburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday.
