Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Trinity Christian Academy suffered their biggest defeat since February 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They took a blow against the South Gibson Hornets, falling 49-22. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ava Ingle, who posted four points. Ingle is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Trinity Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for South Gibson, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy will host Tipton-Rosemark Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Gibson, they will face off against Crockett County at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th.
