Football Recap: Faith Christian Piles Up the Points Against East Central Homeschool

Faith Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past East Central HomeSchool 47-18.

Leading Faith Christian to victory were Blayde Hinton and Ayden Tyndall. Hinton rushed for 41 yards and one touchdown, while Tyndall rushed for 72 yards and one TD on only five carries. An impressive showing, but Tyndall really ramped things up playing D: he picked up two sacks and made four total tackles (3.0 for loss). Faith Christian also got a significant boost from Jordan Rue, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Faith Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 336 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 207 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Faith Christian's defense and their three sacks. Tyndall was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Faith Christian has already played their next game, a 46-12 victory against Pungo Christian Academy on the 22nd. As for East Central HomeSchool, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 34-0 win against Tuscaloosa Christian on the 22nd.
