Yerington came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the West Wendover Wolverines get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Considering the Lions have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Casey Bobrick made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
In other batting news, Aurora Brethauer was a standout: she scored three runs and stole four bases. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Laney Triplett, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
