Baseball Recap: Seaford Bluejays vs. Delmarva Christian Royals

Seaford extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 2-9 in the process. They fell 6-2 to the Delmarva Christian Royals. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Vince Evans III put in work while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

On Delmarva Christian's side, Jackson Ward spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks. Ward has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Malachi Light was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Seaford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 11-1 loss against Woodbridge on the 8th. As for Delmarva Christian, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Red Lion Christian Academy on the 7th.
