Football Game Preview: North Wilkes Vikings vs. Wilkes Central Eagles

North Wilkes is 1-9 against Wilkes Central since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Friday, North Wilkes was beaten by East Wilkes 42-7.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three contests, Wilkes Central finally came back down to earth on Friday. They lost 26-0 to West Wilkes. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

North Wilkes' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Wilkes Central, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

North Wilkes was taken down by Wilkes Central 55-13 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Vikings were down 28-7.
