Basketball Recap: West Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bosqueville, West was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 28-19 victory over the Clifton Cubs. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Clifton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Natalia Gaona, who posted eight points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Gaona a new career-high in steals.

West's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Clifton, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West will welcome Troy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clifton, they will host Whitney at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Clifton is facing Whitney at the right time seeing as Whitney is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
