Basketball Recap: McKenzie Takes a Loss

McKenzie suffered their biggest loss since December 16, 2024 on Friday. They lost 76-55 to the McEwen Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rebels have suffered against the Warriors since January 28, 2022.

McKenzie is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for McEwen, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

McKenzie will take on West Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McEwen, they will square off against Houston County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in McEwen's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
