Denver East is a perfect 5-0 against Northfield since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Angels will head out to take on the Nighthawks at 7:00 p.m. Denver East will be strutting in after a win while Northfield will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Denver East turned things around against Rangeview on Wednesday. They blew past the Raiders 3-0.

While Denver East won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Northfield entered their match against Arvada West on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Nighthawks lost 3-0 to the Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Nighthawks have suffered since November 9, 2024.

Northfield was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Arvada West work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-23, 25-20.

Denver East's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Northfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Denver East beat Northfield 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Nighthawks' Mariah Lindsay, who had 36 digs and one assist.
