Baseball Recap: Limon Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Limon had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They didn't even let the Colorado Springs Christian Lions on the board, marking their second-straight 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won four games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Brody Scherrer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Scherrer was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Logan Haflich was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Liam Yoder was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Limon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Colorado Springs Christian only posted a batting average of .118.

Limon pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Colorado Springs Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Limon is taking a road trip to take on Stratton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Colorado Springs Christian, they will welcome St. Mary's at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
