Volleyball Recap: South County Stallions vs. West Potomac Wolverines

South County won the last time they faced West Potomac and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Stallions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Wolverines. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Stallions.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day South County got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 27-25, 23-25, 28-26, 20-25, 15-5.
Steven Miller-Ramirez paced South County's offense, picking up 26 kills. Miller-Ramirez got some help from Ritesh Pokharel and his 50 assists. Mathew Ramirez controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
South County's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for West Potomac, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
South County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Lake Braddock on the 23rd. As for West Potomac, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against West Springfield on the 23rd.
