Flat Rock had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They strolled past the Roosevelt Bears with points to spare, taking the game 53-38. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Bears are ranked 363rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Flat Rock to victory were Madleen Hussein and Addi Kopp. Hussein almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine assists, while Kopp went 7-for-12 en route to 16 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Hussein a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Averey Mysliwiec, who posted six points and 11 rebounds.

Flat Rock pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Coming up, Flat Rock will head out to take on Annapolis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roosevelt, they will welcome Carlson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
