Softball Game Preview: Edgewater Eagles vs. Celebration Storm

The Edgewater Eagles will take on the Celebration Storm at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Edgewater comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Edgewater came up short against Bishop Moore on Thursday, falling 16-1.

Meanwhile, Celebration lost 18-6 to Cypress Creek on Monday. The Storm have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Gigi Reyes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Bella Bayona was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Celebration always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. This was only their first loss (out of four games) when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Celebration's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Edgewater, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
