Volleyball Recap: Newton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Discovery Titans.

While Newton ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Scarlett Cribb, who had five kills, five aces, and one block. Those five kills gave her a new career-high.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Discovery, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-21.

Newton has already played their next match (against Stockbridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Discovery, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Bethlehem Christian Academy on the 2nd.
