Baseball Recap: Arlington Takes a Loss

Arlington came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Platte Valley, falling 8-2. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with Platte Valley: they've now lost six in a row.

Arlington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Marfisi, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double. Marfisi has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-7 otherwise.

Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Platte Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-2.
