Van Nuys came tearing into Wednesday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the San Fernando Tigers by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Van Nuys had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-11.

Van Nuys pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for San Fernando, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Van Nuys and San Fernando will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Wolves see the court they'll take on Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for San Fernando, their break will end when they face Canoga Park at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st.
