Soccer Recap: Rio Mesa Comes Up Short

Rio Mesa came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 5-0 to the Calabasas Coyotes. Rio Mesa were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Calabasas apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2016.

Rio Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Calabasas, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Rio Mesa will challenge Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Calabasas, they will take on St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
