Softball Recap: Washington Union Comes Up Short

If Washington Union was feeling good fresh off their 18-5 takedown of Fresno last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Washington Union Panthers came up short against the McLane Highlanders on Thursday, falling 13-3.

Washington Union saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoe Freitas, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Washington Union now has a losing record of 1-2. As for McLane, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Washington Union Panthers duke it out with Taft Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McLane, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Selma at 3:30 p.m.
