Basketball Game Preview: Rocky Mountain Lobos vs. Erie Tigers

The Rocky Mountain Lobos will venture away from home to square off against the Erie Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Rocky Mountain is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Rocky Mountain came up short against Fort Collins and fell 54-44. While the Lobos didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lambkins 10-5 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Erie suffered their closest loss since February 13, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Green Mountain by a score of 52-49. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 10-5 in the first quarter.

Erie's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Rocky Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Rocky Mountain was able to grind out a solid win over Erie in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 60-51. Will Rocky Mountain repeat their success, or does Erie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
