Soccer Recap: Florence Takes a Loss

Florence was the 1-0 winner over South Jones when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Florence Eagles took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Jones Braves on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly two goals.

Florence has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for South Jones, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Florence will host North Pike at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Jones, they will square off against Natchez at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
