Volleyball Game Preview: Colonial Grenadiers vs. University Cougars

Colonial hasn't had much luck against University recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Grenadiers will face off against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Colonial is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Dr. Phillips, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14, 25-13.

Meanwhile, University suffered their biggest loss since April 1st on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Bishop Moore. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

University took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-18.

Colonial's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for University, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

Colonial couldn't quite get it done against University in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Grenadiers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
