Soccer Game Preview: Eastside vs. Dorman

The Eastside Eagles will head out to take on the Dorman Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Eastside is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Daniel, who was ranked 24th at the time (Eastside was ranked seventh). The Eagles skirted past the Lions 1-0. Eastside's winning goal came courtesy of Skylar Nutzman.

Meanwhile, after soaring to nine goals the game before, Dorman was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They lost 4-1 to Wade Hampton. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Dorman struggled afterwards.

The victory made it two in a row for Eastside and bumps their season record up to 17-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Dorman, with the loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 9-6-1.

Eastside was able to grind out a solid victory over Dorman when the teams last played back in March, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
