Hoover had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Northridge Academy Pumas. For the Tornados, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Pumas walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

While Hoover might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Northridge Academy scored at least 23 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 24-26, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Northridge Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Angelo Tartaro had 27 assists and ten digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Ubillus, who had 20 digs.

Hoover's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Northridge Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Hoover will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against EF Academy at 4:00 p.m. on April 10. As for Northridge Academy, they will face off against Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
