Football Recap: Don Soffer Aventura Takes a Loss

Don Soffer Aventura lost against David Posnack Jewish Day back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Barracuda took a 20-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. While losing is never fun, the Barracuda can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while the Rams are ranked 112th).

Don Soffer Aventura's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for David Posnack Jewish Day, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Don Soffer Aventura will challenge Hialeah Educational Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Biggie's defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Barracuda's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for David Posnack Jewish Day, they will take on Coral Springs Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Rams 8.9, the Panthers 9.1) so any points scored will be well earned.
