Basketball Recap: Payton Inman Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Amarillo Homeschool F

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Panhandle Christian Home Educators, Hedley was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Amarillo HomeSchool F Flames by a score of 52-43. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Owls also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2020.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hedley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Payton Inman, who went 9-for-13 to rack up 24 points along with eight boards and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Inman has scored at least a third of the Owls' points. Paeton Glover was another key player, shooting 71% from the field en route to 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Hedley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Amarillo HomeSchool F, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hedley is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Non Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amarillo HomeSchool F, they will head out to square off against Sanford-Fritch at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
