Basketball Recap: Brighton Comes Up Short

Brighton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Webster Thomas Titans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bruins of the 53-48 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2022.

Brighton's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Webster Thomas, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-4.

Brighton will face off against Our Lady of Mercy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Our Lady of Mercy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Brighton surely won't give up without a fight. Webster Thomas has already played their next game (against Irondequoit), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
