Holy Cross had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Butler Bears. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Holy Cross' record is now 18-16. As for Butler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-17.
