Volleyball Game Preview: North Grand Eagle Owls vs. Chicago Academy Cougars

The North Grand Eagle Owls will head out on the road to take on the Chicago Academy Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games North Grand has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, North Grand narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Foreman 2-1. The Eagle Owls haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Chicago Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Kelly on Monday and fell 2-1.

Chicago Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for North Grand, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

North Grand came out on top in a nail-biter against Chicago Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagle Owls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
