Softball Game Preview: Fort Lauderdale Flying L's vs. Chaminade-Madonna Lions

The Fort Lauderdale Flying L will head out on the road to face off against the Chaminade-Madonna Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

St. Thomas Aquinas hit Fort Lauderdale with a eight-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Flying L's came up short against the Raiders, falling 12-1. Flying L's fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Raiders since on Thursday.

Fort Lauderdale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jazette Dollar, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Chaminade-Madonna's offense. They lost 16-0 to Stoneman Douglas on Monday. Considering the last time the Lions couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Fort Lauderdale moved to 10-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Chaminade-Madonna, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10.
