While Westbrook Christian's victory against Talladega wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors skirted past the Tigers 8-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 26-10 back in February.

Westbrook Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Talladega, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Westbrook Christian and Talladega could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. The Warriors will challenge Ohatchee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (334 vs. 138). Meanwhile, Talladega (ranked 353rd) will meet Handley (ranked 167th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
