Volleyball Recap: Sterling Find Success

Sterling saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Oak Forest Bengals. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Warriors.

Sterling can attribute much of their success to Mya Lira, who had seven digs and four aces. Alasia Harris also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Despite the loss, Oak Forest still got an impressive performance from Kennidi Wisniewski, who had five digs and two aces.

Sterling now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Oak Forest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Sterling has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Dixon on the 11th. As for Oak Forest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Yorkville Christian on the 11th.
