Basketball Recap: Hartford Takes a Loss

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Hartford had to take the L. They lost 38-16 to the Centreville Bulldogs on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 661st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 264th).

Hartford has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season. As for Centreville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hartford will venture away from home to take on Bloomingdale at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hartford is facing Bloomingdale at the right time seeing as Bloomingdale is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Centreville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Cassopolis at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Centreville's defense has only allowed 28.2 points per game this season, so Cassopolis' offense will have their work cut out for them.
