There's no place like home for Kouts, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Washington Township Senators 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Kouts was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (109-104), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-23, 22-25, 26-24, 15-12.

Erin Stewart paced Kouts' offense, picking up 14 kills. Stewart got some help from Adeline Winters and her 23 assists. Stewart was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Several Senators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abby Hart, who had 23 digs and one assist. Yancey Scott was another key player, getting 17 digs and one assist.

Kouts' victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 9-14. As for Washington Township, their record now sits at 11-8.

Kouts has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Westville on the 22nd. As for Washington Township, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Morgan Township on the 20th.
