Soccer Recap: Andrew Comes Up Short

Andrew was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Kankakee Kays, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Andrew can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 216th, while Kankakee are ranked 65th).

Andrew's goal came courtesy of Will MacLeod, who's now up to ten this season.

Andrew's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-2. As for Kankakee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Andrew didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Minooka on the 16th. As for Kankakee, they have also already played their next matchup, an 8-0 victory against Crete-Monee on the 14th.
