Softball Recap: Forest Wildcats vs. Lecanto Panthers
After flying high against West Port last Tuesday, Forest came back down to earth. The Forest Wildcats fell victim to a rough 7-1 defeat at the hands of the Lecanto Panthers on Thursday.
Rilynn Fountain made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with a home run.
On Lecanto's side, Abigail Males spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. Males has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in six consecutive pitching appearances.
