After flying high against Charleston Collegiate on Wednesday, Porter-Gaud came back down to earth. The Cyclones fell 2-0 to the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers on Friday. The Cyclones' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Allie Abernathy paced Porter-Gaud's offense, picking up eight kills. Abernathy got some help from Harriett Matenaer and her eight assists. Malaya Singletary controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Porter-Gaud now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Porter-Gaud has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lucy Beckham on the 26th. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against T.C. Roberson on the 26th.
