Baseball Recap: Turpin Comes Up Short

Turpin came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Laverne Tigers, falling 10-2. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Turpin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Laverne, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Turpin and Laverne will both be playing Buffalo the next time they take the field. The Cardinals will head out to face the Bison at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
