Basketball Recap: Braxton Cady Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Palmer

There's no place like home for Giltner/Harvard, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They secured a 49-45 W over the Palmer Tigers on Tuesday.

Giltner/Harvard's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braxton Cady led the charge by putting up seven points along with seven boards and six steals. Another player making a difference was Owen Nuss, who posted eight points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.

Despite the loss, Palmer still got an impressive performance from Brady Myers, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Scheer, who scored seven points and seven rebounds.

The victory got Giltner/Harvard back to even at 1-1. As for Palmer, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Giltner/Harvard will venture away from home to face off against Axtell at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Palmer, they will head out to challenge Newman Grove/St. Edward at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
